AI in Education: Risks, Innovation and Morality
Description
Join us as we discuss the topical issue of AI and its impact on education at all levels. Our panel will share their experiences of researching and working with AI within big tech, political and educational settings, and the challenges and opportunities this new technology can bring, as well as the moral dilemmas which must be faced along the way. Our panellists will consider themes such as inbuilt bias by design, neurodivergence and linguistic accessibility, and the debatable 'inevitability' of AI.
Moderating the discussion will be Jovan Owusu-Nepaul. Joining him we are delighted to welcome Kelly Webb-Davies, Seth Washington and Ebele Okobi, as well as co-host Dr Michelle Gayle. You can read more about our speakers at the 'Speakers' tab above.
Doors open at 17:30, with an opportunity to explore the art exhibitions at Rhodes House before the event starts at 18:00. You are warmly invited to continue the conversation and talk with our speakers over drinks and canapés after the panel discussion.
This event is organised in partnership by The Rhodes Trust and The World Reimagined.
