Skills Accelerator Day: Foundations for professional success (Virtual)

Description
The Skills Accelerator Day offers an opportunity for Rhodes Scholars and Alumni to take part in interactive workshops designed to build the skills essential for stepping into, and thriving in, professional life. Sessions will cover areas such as navigating the future of work, career mapping, network building, interview techniques, impactful communication, and more. Each workshop will provide practical tools and insights to help you navigate your career journey with confidence.
The day will open with guest speaker Scott Stirrett*, founder of Venture for Canada and author of The Uncertainty Advantage: Launching Your Career in an Era of Rapid Change. He will share reflections and practical tools for embracing change and navigating the evolving world of work, drawing on the uncertainty many early-career professionals experience.
Beyond skill-building, the event is also a chance to connect with the wider Rhodes community, to exchange ideas, share experiences, and form connections that can inspire and support your next steps.
This event will be held virtually via Zoom. The same programme will also take place in person at Rhodes House on 13 November, should you prefer to attend in Oxford.
*This event is offered in collaboration with Scott Stirrett, with whom the Rhodes Trust has no financial or other commercial arrangement.
