RSA 2025 National Dinner

Description
We would like to warmly invite you and your partner to the Rhodes Scholarships in Australia 2025 National Dinner in Melbourne. We are delighted to have two Scholars in conversation as our speakers at this year’s dinner:
- Geoffrey Robertson AO KC (New South Wales & University 1970), an international human rights barrister, academic, author, broadcaster and founder of Doughty Street Chambers.
- Jennifer Robinson (Australia-at-Large & Balliol 2006), a human rights lawyer and barrister, best known for her role as a leading member of Julian Assange’s legal team.
Geoffrey and Jennifer will share reflections on the changing nature of international human rights and social justice, as well as their story of mentorship and connection between generations of Rhodes Scholars. Jen met Geoffrey while studying human rights law at Oxford, with him becoming a mentor and then colleague at Doughty Street Chambers. Facilitating mentorship and connections between generations of Scholars is a goal of RSA and ARSA, building on Rhodes Trust’s commitment to promoting Lifelong Fellowship.
The evening will be facilitated by Travers McLeod (Western Australia & Balliol 2007), who is the Executive Director of the Brotherhood of St. Laurence.
