Join a workshop with Simon Clews-Training Facilitator in Engagement & Communication for academics & researchers who want to share their work

Please note this is 1 of 2 workshops. We highly encourage you to sign up for and attend both sessions.

Join author of The New Academic and long-time training facilitator in engagement and communication for academics and researchers who want to share their amazing work with the outside world, Simon Clews, in two workshops designed to give you the skills and techniques to make this happen.

Session 1: The Engaged Researcher – on page

In this session we’ll look at the background behind becoming an engaged researcher and what communication and awareness raising for academics might look like; then we’ll put this into practice and examine what a typical engagement trajectory/career path might look like. We’ll bring this to a conclusion by homing in on effective written communication techniques and taking a close look at the writing and editing techniques needed to communicate complex research to a non-specialist audience.
