Celebrating 100 Years of Alain Locke's "The New Negro"

December 2025 marks 100 years since the publication of "The New Negro", the groundbreaking anthology edited by Alain LeRoy Locke (Pennsylvania & Hertford 1907). 100 years later, the book remains a defining and ever-illuminating body of work. To celebrate Locke's legacy and reflect on his vision, the Rhodes Trust and the Black Association of Rhodes Scholars have come together the present the art that is embedded in these pages.
