Francesca Fernandes

Biography

Francesca Fernandes, of Saratoga, California, is a first-year Physics PhD at Caltech, pursuing high-energy theoretical physics. During her tenure as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford in 2025, she studied Philosophy of Physics at Linacre College, and completed her undergraduate in Physics and Mathematics at Stanford University. She is extremely passionate about expanding representation within physics. Outside physics, she deeply enjoys performing (singing, acting, hip-hop dance), writing, reading, and bringing people together.
