Aniketa Kabir

Biography

Aniketa graduated with a BA (Hons.) in History from Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. He is interested in studying premodern Indian texts and the ways in which they have been interpreted and circulated, under the conditions of modernity, particularly through the axis of religion. He wants to explore the re-imagining of religion in South Asia over the course of the 18th and 19th centuries. At Oxford, he hopes to continue studying religious history and improve his Sanskrit language skills. Aniketa is keen on birdwatching and Western Classical music, and is learning to play the violin.
