Kate Tully

Biography

Kate E. Tully, Sacramento, is a senior at Stanford University where she is completing an undergraduate degree in Political Science. Her honors thesis, which focuses on insurrectionist violence in sub-Saharan Africa, aims to understand factors contributing to democratic regression. She has completed research internships at the Department of Defense, the State Department, and the United Nations. As a member of the board of directors of the Sacramento Urban Debate League, Kate has worked to expand debate programs to at-risk youth across Sacramento. She is also an amateur boxer and member of the Stanford Boxing Club. At Oxford, she hopes to pursue an MPhil in International Relations.
