Biography
Chriss is a Scholar from Kigali, Rwanda, pursuing an MSc in Translational Health Sciences. He also holds a BA in Ethics, Politics & Economics and a Certificate in Global Health from Yale University. Growing up in Rwanda, he witnessed how limited resources and fragmented systems can hinder health outcomes. At the same time, Rwanda’s post-genocide healthcare journey taught him the transformative power of coupling an ambitious vision with creative financing and strong implementation.
As such, his professional interests lie in implementation science, novel financing approaches, and partnership models. At Oxford, he hopes to gain the skills, experiences, and networks needed to sustain the growth momentum of Rwanda’s healthcare system and to contribute to strengthening health systems across the African continent and beyond.
