Biography
Ahmed graduated as the valedictorian of the Nigerian Scholars Program at the Nigerian University of Technology and Management and with a distinction in Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Lagos. He is a dedicated changemaker with over four years of experience in healthcare, consulting, financial services, and startups. He co-founded Zibo, a telehealth and e-commerce platform providing dermatology care for young Nigerians. Currently, as Strategy and Research Lead at AXIAS GLOBAL, Ahmed helps clients navigate complex strategic challenges to achieve meaningful outcomes.
His career includes roles as an Investment Analyst at Global Ventures and the Nasarawa Investment Development Agency, as well as strategic positions with Kippa Africa and Equilibrium Zone. Passionate about healthcare access and poverty eradication, he also founded Alaye Social Ventures, which empowers rural Nigerian women through microloans and digital healthcare support.
At Oxford, Ahmed aims to pursue an MSc in Applied Digital Health, followed by a DPhil in Primary Healthcare, focusing on sustainable health solutions for underserved communities. After his studies, he aims to champion healthcare inclusion in Nigeria through a pharmacy-first care model, expanding equitable access to essential primary healthcare across rural communities and beyond.
