Biography

I am an art historian and Ph.D. candidate in the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture and the History, Theory, and Criticism of Art and Architecture program. I work on the history of photography, 19th century visual and material culture, and the intersections of science and art. I received a B.A. summa cum laude in Anthropology from Harvard University and an M.Phil. in Visual, Material, and Museum Anthropology from the University of Oxford. I have experience working on archaeological excavations in Macedonia and Jordan as well as at institutions including the National Gallery of Art, Pitt Rivers Museum, the Courtauld Institute of Art, and the Harvard Museums of Science and Culture.
