New art exhibition Show Me Why You Love Home launched at Rhodes House

This week the Rhodes Trust opened our latest exhibition, Show Me Why You Love Home, hosted in the S. Ann Colbourne Gallery in Rhodes House. The exhibition features works by Rhodes Scholars, Atlantic Fellows and Schmidt Science Fellows and is curated by Babette Littlemore. The launch featured speeches from Sir Rick Trainor, Provost, Babette Littlemore, curator, S. Ann Colbourne (Newfoundland & Corpus Christi 1980), philanthropist and the namesake of the gallery, and artists Laura Wegner (Germany & Keble 2025), Mansi Sood (Schmidt Science Fellow), Alice Wroe (Atlantic Institute), Lana Alabbasi (Saudi Arabia & Keble 2025) and Nadine Pinede (Connecticut & St John's 1986.)

Contributing artists have worked with a wide range of media and represented different interpretations of what home is, how it can be found, and the ways to celebrate it. In the West Lightwell we are showcasing a collaboration with the Emerging Technologies Lab, part of the Atlantic Institute, based here at Rhodes House, and an artwork curated by Rhodes House Head Gardener Neil Wigfield.
