Monika Mitova

Biography

Monika Mitova is a student at New York University Abu Dhabi majoring in Political Science with a minor in Arabic. Her academic journey is deeply rooted in the exploration of Middle Eastern politics, with a particular emphasis on peace and conflict. Previously, Monika has interned at the United Nations Security Council where she followed and analyzed discussions on MENA political dynamics. Additionally, she has undertaken independent ethnographic research in the Palestinian West Bank which contributed to her understanding of the complexities in the region. Monika has also worked as a research assistant at the Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies at NYU. At Oxford, she hopes to continue her specialization in Middle Eastern politics and Arabic.
