Biography
Daniel Mutia is a final year Electronics and Electrical Engineering Student at the University of Edinburgh where he is a MasterCard Foundation Scholar. He is the 2020 winner of the Sir William Darling Memorial Prize which is awarded to the student who has done the most to enhance the university's reputation. He serves as the Vice President for Inclusion in his University's Sports Union Executive Committee and recently served in the Student Council as the International Students' Representative. He's the co-founder of BuniTek, a social venture creating technology innovators among high school students in Kenya and Rwanda.
At Oxford, he intends to conduct research at the intersection of sustainable energy, policy and economic development. Daniel enjoys playing football and nature photography.
