Biography
Leanne Ho is majoring in English Literary and Cultural Studies at the University of Oklahoma. Leanne's academic research focuses on the impact of storytelling on social distancing from LGBTQ people. They are a campus leader in advocating for transgender, intersex, and non-binary people in conversations about sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence, and resources in higher education. While leading a successful effort to address gendered campus awards at the University of Oklahoma, they were named the first-ever Big Non-Binary Person on Campus. As a cancer survivor and a former intern in the United States Senate, Leanne strives for accessible, affordable, and inclusive healthcare through clinical medicine and policy intervention, with a focus on healthcare disparities for immigrants, people of color, and all marginalized communities.
