Biography

Claire Wang is the Democratic energy policy advisor on the Senate Committee for Environment and Public Works working for Ranking Member Sheldon Whitehouse. She previously served as a senior advisor in the Office of the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry at the U.S. Department of State, where she led on U.S.-China climate cooperation and global action on non-CO2 greenhouse gases. Claire received a M.Sc. in Environmental Change and Management and a M.Sc. in Contemporary China Studies from the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. She received a B.A. in Environmental Sciences & Policy from Duke University. She is originally from North Salt Lake, Utah, USA.
