Biography

Through his time at the National Law School, Vanshaj has developed a particular interest in international law. The inequity that persists in international law disturbs him deeply, and he hopes to work towards creating a fairer system for all States. At Oxford, Vanshaj will focus on international criminal law. Vanshaj has worked with the Legal Services Clinic at NLS to promote legal literacy and increase access to the law. Vanshaj is a passionate mooter, and has represented India at the Jessup Moot. In 2016, he argued the finals of the ICC Moot before sitting judges of the International Criminal Court, at The Hague. His other interests include theatre and long-distance running.
