Biography
Rebecca has just completed a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Tasmania. Her honours thesis considered the role of charity law in encouraging philanthropic action for the protection of the environment. Her study and career interests lie in the area of climate change policy and regulation. Rebecca has regularly volunteered her time, with roles at the Oaktree Foundation, a youth-run aid and development organisation, the Office of the Ombudsman Tasmania and the Tasmanian Environmental Defender's Office. In 2013 Rebecca spent six months studying in Switzerland where she developed her German language skills. Rebecca has competed in two national mooting competitions. She enjoys creative writing, practices Wing Chun Kung Fu and has been a teacher of the violin, viola and cello.
