Description

Dr Chloe Flutter, Chairperson of Rhodes Scholarships in Australia, warmly invites you and your partner to attend the Rhodes Scholarships in Australia 2023 National Dinner in Sydney.

The guest speaker is Indigenous lawyer and land rights activist, Mr. Noel Pearson. Noel comes from the Guugu Yimidhirr community of Hope Vale on the Cape York Peninsula. He is the Director of the Cape York Institute for Policy and Leadership, an organisation promoting the economic and social development of Cape York in far north Queensland.

The evening will be facilitated by our Indigenous Scholars, including Mr Bede Jones (Tasmania & St Antony's 2017) who share his reflections as a First Nations person and on the value of the Rhodes Scholarship to him.

Dinner will be held in the Quayside Room at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Date: Saturday, 18 March 2023

Time: 6.00PM for drinks on the balcony, followed by dinner at 7:00PM

Dress: Lounge suit

Cost and registration:

The regular ticket price is $195 per person which has been calculated on a cost-recovery basis.

To ensure that as many Scholars can attend as possible, RSA will again offer discounted tickets - at $120 per person for Scholars who left Oxford in the last four years or who are experiencing financial hardship. We hope most Scholars will elect to pay the full ticket price so that RSA will not be out-of-pocket.

Registration and payment can be made here by 1 March 2022 please. A small registration fee will apply.

There are a limited number of tickets so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Please bring a copy of your ticket to gain entry to the dinner.
