Shreya Singhal

Biography

Shreya is a final year student studying Biological Sciences at Imperial College London. She is most interested in life at the microscopic scale and how it can be used to solve our macro environmental problems. She aims to work towards bridging the gap between research in the lab and solutions in the real world. To this end, she co-founded a startup called Synthesea that is building a bacterial platform to synthesize omega-3 in order to make fish farming more sustainable. She is dedicated to expanding access to education, working as a volunteer tutor and mentor with outreach programs. Outside of Biology, she loves mixed media visual art, dancing, and doodling.
