Mihika Poddar

Biography

Mihika is a final year law student at NUJS, Kolkata. She is interested in law, human rights and gender theory. Through her internships at the Centre for Policy Research and the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, she has explored policy-based advocacy and research. Her work at the NUJS Legal Aid Society has allowed her to nurture an interest in rights-based interventions and facilitating access to justice. She has also authored several research papers and legal blogs. Mihika wants to work towards enabling a democratic pre-legislative discourse that is informed by sound theoretical principles as well as lived realities of marginalised groups. At Oxford, she intends to explore human rights and equality law. She enjoys rowing and loves to travel.
