Biography
Isabelle Stone completed a degree in Economics with minors in Philosophy and Faith, Peace and Justice at Boston College in May 2018. Isabelle wrote her thesis on how differing legacies of colonialism shape income distributions today and the ethical implications for our generation's responsibility in addressing these disparities. Isabelle plans to pursue a career in economic public policy to mitigate the maladies of extreme income inequality. This desire is largely provoked by witnessing the injustices experienced by homeless populations that she serves in Boston and at home. At Oxford, Isabelle hopes to research Bermuda's own economic policy. Isabelle's extracurriculars involve membership in political education groups, presenting a radio show for Boston's WZBC radio station and learning to play the drums.
