Arnold Kaluba

Biography

Arnold completed his LLB degree last year and has recently qualified as an Advocate of the High Court for Zambia (AHCZ) and a member of the Zambian bar. He is currently working as a lawyer at a leading corporate law firm in Zambia, in Banking and Finance, Corporate Advisory, and Tax and Litigation Departments. Last year, Arnold was awarded the UNZA Student Leadership Award for exemplary student service. He served as President of the University of Zambia School of Law Student Association, and as Chair of the UNZA Student Catholic Community Group, in which roles he worked on programmes to bring positive behavioural change for vulnerable youth and to promote the role of entrepreneurship in eradicating poverty in Zambia. For relaxation, Arnold enjoys dancing, singing, playing football and cooking. He is keenly interested in the intersection of law, economics and finance and, in particular, in the role of effective financial regulation both for corporate success and the raising of living standards. In the longer-term, Arnold hopes to continue in academia, teaching in the field of corporate and commercial law.
