2nd Annual Rhodes Healthcare Forum
Optimisation or Innovation: Making meaningful gains in healthcare 12 - 13 November 2016
Disruptive innovation is having an inordinate impact on society. Few industries have faced calls for such innovation as often as healthcare, with much hope placed on initiatives such as digitization and precision medicine. But have these changes led to meaningful improvements in patient care, safety and outcomes? Has the effectiveness & efficiency of our healthcare systems improved? Should we instead be focussing on closing the gap between best practices in health care and their actual adoption and adherence in health systems? Has the global healthcare community been distracted by innovation? And at what cost? We will explore these questions at this year's Rhodes Healthcare Forum- one of a series of events at Rhodes House where the Rhodes Community is addressing some of the world's pressing challenges.
