The Alumni Weekend 2016 for the Rhodes community started on Saturday 17 September with a terrific lunch for the 25th and 50th anniversary classes. Later it was time for the third annual Rhodes Scholars in Britain (RSiB) dinner and both current and Senior Scholars enjoyed lively discussions across generations, countries and sectors.
On Sunday 18 September there was the traditional open house and brunch at Rhodes House, as well as a celebratory lunch hosted by the Warden for Rhodes Scholars marking significant anniversaries of Coming Up to Oxford. Scholar Conversations also proved very popular, with current Scholars having mentoring conversations with members from the Senior Scholar community.
The alumni weekend also marked the official launch of the new Rhodes Trust book 'Fighting the World's Fights: Rhodes Scholars in Oxford and Beyond'. The cost of the book is £50 (including any postage costs), and can be purchased by emailing babette.tegldal@rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk. Payment can be by cheque or credit/debit card.
