Introduced by Warden, Elizabeth Kiss (Virginia & Balliol 1983), Wes will talk about his new book; 'Five Days: The Fiery Reckoning of an American City' as well as his Rhodes Scholar experience. This book provides important context in the history of Baltimore’s racial and income inequality and the emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Wes Moore is the Chief Executive Officer of Robin Hood, one of the largest anti-poverty forces in America. He is a bestselling author, a combat veteran, and a social entrepreneur. Before becoming CEO at Robin Hood, Wes was the founder and CEO at BridgeEdU, an education platform based in Baltimore, US addressing the college completion and job placement crisis by reinventing freshman year for underserved students.
