Mr. Rae is a Canadian politician, negotiator, public speaker, and lawyer. He was elected to federal and provincial legisature eleven times between 1978-2013. He served as leader of the federal Liberal party in Canada, foreign affairs critic for the Liberal Party of Canada, leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party (NDP), and 21st Premier of Ontario, being sworn in as the only NDP Premier in Ontario to date. Since leaving elected office in 2013, Mr. Rae has focused his legal career around representing First Nations communities in Canada. An esteemed arbitrator, Mr. Rae was specially appointed by the Canadian Prime Minister as special envoy to Myanmar in repsonse to the Rohingya human rights crisis in 2017. Bob has also written five books and serves on the Boards for a number of organizations within his community.
