Inaugural Rhodes Careers Day: Boost Your Career 'Here & Now'

"Making the most of Oxford and preparing for your Career next steps, Here and Now!!"

Do you get agitated and frustrated that you may not be doing enough or making the most of opportunities to support your next steps after your degree at Oxford ? Do you get a bit stuck on how to persuasively present your story, and how to evidence the strengths, skills and expertise you've gained as a professional student/researcher? Or do the options and potential pathways feel overwhelming, and you're hoping to keep multiple trajectories open while bolstering your employability or building your confidence to embark on your own?  What can you do here and now to get excited about your career next steps and to take smart actions?

In partnership with the Careers Service and Enterprising Oxford the inaugural Rhodes Careers Day will impart tools and techniques for Scholars aiming to be more empowered and effective in their career development while in Oxford:

  • Developing narratives for creating and finding work that fits you
    • Taking a strengths and skills based approach to the job hunt, from building a CV to approaching Hiring engagements
    • Being entrepreneurial in making the most of your Oxford context and current role as a researcher/student
    • Bolstering your employability
