Workshop on Scholars with disabilities

  • Rhodes House
  • 3.00pm-4.30pm

How do you let a blind person know that you’re in the same room as them? Is it OK to push a wheelchair user up a hill? Should you high-five your disabled friend you see at Plush?

If you’ve ever wanted to understand the perspective of your disabled friends better or just ask the questions that you’ve always wondered about, then this session is for you. Its core purpose is to drive home the message that, while your fellow scholars who are disabled may do some things differently, that should not make them an object of inspiration or sympathy.

Join the Rhodes Disability Project on Friday, 22nd February, from 3 to 4:30 PM for an informal, friendly and constructive conversation about living with a disability.

There will be light refreshments and snacks available.
