Thursday 19 September - Reconnecting

9.00 - 10.00 Tour of Rhodes House as it is today, led by Rodolfo Lara Torres
10.00 - 10.45 Architectural Tour of Oxford, guide TBC
10.45 - 11.30 Walk or taxi to lunch
11.30 - 13.00 Lunch at the Perch*
13.30 - 14.00 Taxi back from lunch
14.00 - 16.00 Punting, weather permitting
16.00 - 18.00 Free time or tea with old friends
18.00 – 19.15 Welcome drinks reception at Rhodes House
19.15 – 19.30 Taxi or walk to Malmaison Hotel
19.30 - 21.30 Class dinner*
21.30-? Architectural tour of historic Oxford public houses

Friday 20 September - Remembering

8.30 - 9.30 Morning walk and bird watching around Oxford
9.30 - 10.15 An informal remembrance of those who have passed, with coffee
10.15 - 11.45 Experience of the Character, Service and Leadership Program for current Rhodes Scholars “Relations, Friendships and Mentors
12.00 - 13.30 Lunch, Rhodes House
14.00 - 16.00 Croquet at Rhodes House

16.00-16.15 Coffee and refreshment break

16.15 - 17.15 Conversation with the Warden, Dr. Elizabeth Kiss (Virginia & Balliol 1983)
17.15 - 19.00 Free
19.00 – 22.00 Dinner at Rhodes House for the 40th and 50th Reunion Class with Current Scholars and Rhodes Scholars in Britain Alumni Association, remarks by Dr Elizabeth Kiss and Class Leaders
22.00 - Post dinner port, followed by architectural tour of historic

Saturday 21 September - The Present and Future

8.00 - 9.30 Bracing morning walk with bird watching.

10.00 - 16.30 Oxford’s “Meeting Minds” programme for the Oxford alumni weekend, which includes lectures, tours and hands-on activities across the city, followed by College dinners in the evening. For more information and to book tickets follow this link.

10.00 - 16.30 Rhodes House All Alumni Informal Garden Party - to include a BBQ buffet and "In Coversation with..." Dr Elizabeth Kiss. A separate crèche will be provided to facilitate Scholars access to attend the academic talks at the University

10:00 – 16:30 Teas and coffees in Atlantic

10:00 – 12:30 Refreshments

12:00 – 12:30 Session in Milner (In Conversation with…” Dr Elizabeth Kiss)

12:30 – 14:30 BBQ Style buffet

14:30 – 16:00 Refreshment and ice cream

16:30 Guests depart for dinner (external)

19.00 - 21.30 Group dinner for those not dining in their College held at Pierre Victoire*

21.30-? Architectural tour of other historic Oxford public houses

Sunday 22 September - Until Next Time

10.00-15.30 Oxford’s “Meeting Minds” program continues

All meals that are external to Rhodes House have changed from free of charge (paid on the day) to being paid for in advance as due to the number of Scholars returning we've had to make group reservations. Food will need to be ordered in advance - we'll send out seasonal menus in September for you to make your selections. The Thursday drinks reception and Friday lunch remain free of charge hosted by the Trust.

Please register for the events you are attending by Monday 2 September and mention if you have any dietary or access requirements. Guests are very welcome.

At Rhodes House we have limited accommodation, but please find all the available options here.

Rhodes House does not have visitor parking. We recommend using one of the convenient Park & Ride sites.

Rhodes House is fully wheelchair-accessible with a lift allowing access to all of the programmed sessions.
