This year’s convening serves as a platform to envisage the current and future role of business in changing the world for the better. We will consider how the evolving entrepreneurial mindset can be leveraged to tackle the greatest challenges of the 21st century - across sectors and around the world. The Forum will be a connection point for current Rhodes Scholars, alumni and friends to showcase their entrepreneurial ventures and ideas across disciplines with the aim of bridging divides in a polarised world. The format will be highly interactive with opportunities for thought-provoking discussions and mentoring.

Programme Highlights

What to look forward to this year:

This year, we aim to ask questions on the impact of business on global challenges today and in the future. How can an entrepreneurship mindset truly promote good? Our speakers will speak to a diversity of disciplines and regions in the world, ranging from education, environment, health and the role of policy in business. Our sessions will be structured along two streams. The first, “mindset”, will challenge the way we think about business and its role in changing the world for the better. We hope to reflect on fundamental business principles, including those relating to the future of work or the circular economy. The second stream, “action”, will provide an opportunity for all participants to develop attributes of the exportable “entrepreneurship mindset”. Current scholars will be invited to pitch their ideas in small interactive sessions. There will be additional opportunities to connect with alumni and guests through mentorship sessions.

In order to maintain the intimacy of the weekend, places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Register now to avoid disappointment.

Rhodes Trust Secretaries, Trustees and Alumni Association Committee Members are exempt from registration fees.

Other information

Delegates are responsible for organising their own accommodation – book early to avoid disappointment. We recommend contacting your college for room availability or one of the many nearby hotels or B&B's listed here as soon as possible.

Rhodes House does not have visitor parking. We recommend using one of the convenient Park & Ride sites.

Rhodes House is fully wheelchair-accessible with a lift allowing access to all of the programmed sessions.
