Whilst in Oxford, Sarah's research focused on understanding the economic exclusion of Small and medium Sized enterprises in Egypt. She was also a member of the Oxford Triathlon Team and appreciates the relations built from such interactions.

The 2011 Bram Fischer Memorial Lecture was delivered by Professor Goldberg who is a South African social campaigner and was active in the struggle against apartheid. He was imprisoned along with other key members of the anti-apartheid movement.
