Recognising Your Gift
Your support maintains the Rhodes Scholarships as the world’s premier Scholarship opportunity and enables the next generation of Scholars to come to Oxford. Thank you to our Scholar Alumni and Friends for supporting ethical young leaders who will stand up for the world.
The Impact of Your Gift
The Rhodes Trust supports the intellectual and personal growth of talented men and women, now chosen from over 45 countries, who have outstanding potential to excel at Oxford and exhibit leadership in their wider careers. It has been very successful in this aim – Rhodes Scholars share a history of enriching their communities, being pioneers in their chosen fields, and applying the knowledge gained and experience acquired as Scholars to the prosperity and betterment of the societies in which they live. They have consistently distinguished themselves in politics, academia, business, law, the arts, medicine, science, sport, activism and countless other fields, much to the advantage of the communities from which they come and in which they go on to live and work.

Donor Thank You Week
Each year, we celebrate Donor Thank You Week, which gives Scholars in Residence an opportunity to share messages of gratitude with Donors. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we celebrated virtually in 2021, with Scholars in Residence sharing their stories and messages of how the support of the Rhodes Scholarships and Scholars Fund has helped them weather the uncertainty of the pandemic and continue their studies.
“I am eternally grateful to the donors that make the scholarship thrive. As a first generation graduate, the Rhodes scholarship has been a life-changing experience, not only for me, but for my community.”
Shamila Mpinga (South Africa-at-Large & Merton 2019)
“To me, the greatest thing about Rhodes Scholarship is that it gives me affirmation for what I genuinely believe in, and bonds me with like-minded scholars who are talented, passionate and committed to their cause. All of this wouldn’t be possible without your generous support. Thank you so much!”
Ryan Yan (China & Brasenose 2020)
Thank you to our community of supporters for your investment, generosity and vision in support of the Rhodes Scholarships.
