How to give: United States taxpayers
Your Annual Giving will help to finance a portion of current costs and further enhance the Scholarship with the activities that make the global Rhodes community so special. The fastest way to make a gift is to do so online.
Rhodes Scholars and friends of the Trust who are US taxpayers can make full tax-deductible gifts for the benefit of the Rhodes Scholarships at any time during the year through one of two 501(c)(3) organisations under the US Internal Revenue Code: Americans for Oxford, Inc. (AFO) or the American Trust for Oxford (ATFO). To ensure tax efficiency and the necessary tax receipt, donations must be channelled through one of these organisations rather than sent directly to the Rhodes Trust in Oxford.
Americans for Oxford, Inc.
American Trust for Oxford
Please select the "Rhodes Trust" on the drop-down menu indicating gift preference in either instance.
Americans for Oxford, Inc.’s (AFO) Federal Tax Identification Number (EIN): 52-1495060
American Trust for Oxford (ATFO) Federal Tax Identification Number (EIN): 13-6024454
Give by Email or Post (Check)
If you prefer to mail a check, please download and submit the donation form either by email or post so that a receipt can be issued.
Give by Stocks and Shares, Bank wire or Electronic Funds Transfer
To make a gift of stock or wire transfer, please contact Ms Erica Mirick, Deputy Director of Development – Scholar Giving on +1 207 408 1210 or at firstname.lastname@example.org for the relevant details. It is important that we are notified prior to every transfer so we may accurately identify and acknowledge your gift.
Corporate Matched Giving
It is sometimes possible to double or even triple the impact of your donation if your employer has a matched giving scheme in place. This can easily be checked by searching our list of U.S. companies which participate in this scheme. The matched giving form should be sent to the same 501(c)(3) as your original gift, which will be either Americans for Oxford (AFO) or the American Trust for Oxford (ATFO).
Capital and Endowment Giving
The Rhodes Trust welcomes major gift commitments that can be paid over a number of years. Donors may specify an unrestricted gift to the Trust’s endowment or designate their contributions in support of specific programmes, initiatives or Scholarships.
For more information on capital gifts, including endowing Scholarships, please contact Ms Erica Mirick, Deputy Director of Development – Scholar Giving on +1 207 408 1210 or at email@example.com
