Nik graduated as a Global Leader Scholar from Yale-NUS College, where he studied Urban Studies and Global Affairs. There he led Raise Your Voice Canada, a non-profit that taught debate and slam poetry, managed an undergraduate global affairs review, and was the founding President of the Debate Society. He is currently a WISE Fellow, working on educational innovations for refugee communities. Previously he attended Pearson United World College.

Nik has dual interests in the built environment and urban politics. He has done research with Rohingya Muslims in Bangkok, worked on a refugee marketplace design, volunteers with migrant workers, and spent a summer supporting the recruitment of teachers for northern Indigenous communities in Canada. He intends to read for the MPhil in Development Studies.
