Yasmin is a Biological Sciences student at the University of Alberta completing a BSc with a certificate in leadership from the Peter Lougheed Leadership College. She is passionate about health, social entrepreneurship, and philosophy - tying together these disparate interests via her involvement as the President of her university’s Health & Wellness Movement, the Founder of TEDxUAlberta, and as the Founder of StolleryBOTs, a robotics program for patients at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Yasmin also works as a Research Assistant studying diabetes and is a Student Representative developing an institutional strategic plan to prioritize health at her university. Currently, Yasmin is developing an immersive health internship for marginalized students at the University of Alberta. At Oxford, Yasmin is reading Global Health Science and Public Policy.
