Yasmin is a Biological Sciences student at the University of Alberta completing a BSc with a certificate in leadership from the Peter Lougheed Leadership College. She is passionate about health, social entrepreneurship, and philosophy - tying together these disparate interests via her involvement as the President of her university’s Health & Wellness Movement, the Founder of TEDxUAlberta, and as the Founder of StolleryBOTs, a robotics program for patients at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Yasmin also works as a Research Assistant studying diabetes and is a Student Representative developing an institutional strategic plan to prioritize health at her university. Currently, Yasmin is developing an immersive health internship for marginalized students at the University of Alberta.
