Laura C. Roberts, Dallas, is a senior at Duke University majoring in History and double minoring in Political Science and Religion. Her research, including her senior thesis, focuses on women's religious roles in early modern England. Passionate about human rights, she is a Global Human Rights Scholar, member of the Student Advisory Board for the Duke Human Rights Center, and mentor for Big Brothers, Big Sisters in Durham. On campus, she is Vice President of Duke International Relations Association and Events Chair for the Women's Institute of Secondary Education and Research. She has worked for the NGOs Rwanda Girls Initiative and Freedom House. She will read for an M. Phil. in British and European History.
