Kgaugelo Sebidi is Harry Crossley Fellow at the University of Cape Town. He completed his BA Psychology degree with Distinction at the University of Johannesburg. He attended Kweledi Secondary School in Burgersfort in Limpopo where he was President of the Learners Representative Council in 2010. He has volunteered as a peer buddy for PsyCad at the University of Johannesburg and as a tutor for UCT’s SHAWCO, among other organisations. His personal account of living through disadvantaged socioeconomic conditions has inspired him to pursue development as a field. He is very passionate about bettering livelihoods of populations living peri-urban and rural areas. In Oxford, he hopes to read for an MPhil Development Studies.
