Cameron M. Platt, Santa Barbara, will graduate from Princeton University with an A.B. in English and a certificate in Theater, as the valedictorian of the Class of 2016. She recently completed her senior thesis in English, which sets the possibilities for female motion against the pressures of familial succession in Shakespeare, Austen, and Woolf. As an actor, a director, and in other production roles, Cameron has worked on over 20 theatre productions at Princeton. She also served as the president of the Princeton University Players, Princeton’s only entirely student-run musical theatre company. Off campus, she has worked in administrative and educational roles at Prospect Theater Company, an Off-Broadway musical theatre company, and at the McCarter Theatre, a regional performing arts center in Princeton. At Oxford, Cameron will read for an MSt in English (1550-1700) and an MSt in US History.
