Other Information: Ben completes his BA this year, with a major in Politics and a Minor in Spanish Language. Passionate about sustainable development, Ben has worked extensively with P3 Foundation (a New Zealand youth-led development organisation), and is the Founding Regional Director for Otago. With P3, he has attended international conferences on humanitarian and human rights issues and has come face to face with the realities of extreme poverty in Peru. Ben is writing his dissertation on peacebuilding in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and is researching and writing a publication which is designed to be a resource for NGOs on organizational resilience. Ben loves sports, especially basketball and team sports of various kinds. He also practises Taekwondo. Fuelled by the twin challenges of eradicating poverty and protecting the environment, long-term Ben hopes to contribute to driving international co-operation towards sustainable development policy.
