Priyanka will finish her dual Bachelor and Master’s course this year, majoring in Energy Science and Systems Engineering with a minor in Physics. Priyanka has authored a number of articles and conference presentations, and has interned with the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, the University of Cambridge and the Singapore Membrane Technology Center amongst others. In 2011 she worked for five months with the Slum Rehabilitation Society and the Center for Advances in Technology for Rural Areas, contributing to the improvement of the environment of re-housed communities - studying the water pumping and sewage systems of the Majas Colony and organising a clean-up campaign for the colony’s children. Currently she is leading an initiative to gather the ideas of students (across India) with respect to energy technologies in order to report direct to the government, as part of the Technology Vision 2035 programme. For relaxation, Priyanka enjoys lawn tennis, music and magic, and is a champion chess player. Long term Priyanka aspires to combat climate change through academic research and policy making.
