A Montreal native, Madeleine graduated magna cum laude from Harvard in 2011 with an A.B. in Social Studies. A Harvard College Scholar, Conant Prize recipient, and Harvard Women’s Leadership Award winner, Madeleine wrote her thesis on indigenous approaches to HIV education in Mali. Madeleine has been involved with several global health initiatives including the Harvard Global Health and AIDS Coalition, SPINALpedia, Peer Health Exchange, and a member of the research team for the upcoming textbook of Dr. Paul Farmer, Dr. Arthur Kleinman and Dr. Jim Kim. She has also served as an overnight volunteer at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, was a four-year starter for the 2011 DII National Champion Harvard Radcliffe Rugby Club and your friendly neighborhood bartender at the Cambridge Queen’s Head Pub. Since graduating, Madeleine has served as a Frontline Health Worker Manager for Tiyatien Health in Konobo District, Liberia.
