Other Information: Vrinda is completing the fifth and final year of her law degree. Driven into the study of law by her keen interest in using the legal system as a tool for social change in India, she has already published a number of articles. Besides her course-work, Vrina has acted as Chief Editor of the Socio-Legal Review and Editor for the Indian Journal for Alternate Dispute Resolution. An accomplished debater, she was named Best Overall Memorandum and Semifinalist at the 12thInternational Maritime Law Arbitration Moot in Singapore, Third Best Speaker at the 8th D.M. Harish GLC International Moot Court Competition in Mumbai in 2008 and was a Speaker on the Oxford and Cambridge Inter-Varsity Parliamentary Debate Tournament in 2009. A keen sportswoman, Vrinda was five times a Delhi State basketball player participating in the National Championships (2002-2007) and last year she achieved 4th place in the Bangalore Midnight Half Marathon, running 21.1km in 2 hours. Her career ambition is to contribute to a judicial system which provides equal access and timely justice for all.
