Other information: Sarah has enjoyed the interdisciplinary nature of the Health Sciences degree which she is close to completing. Her passion for humanitarian issues and sustainability has driven both her studies and her extra-curricular activities. She has volunteered for the Humanitarian Issues Program of the Canadian Red Cross since 2006, and in 2010 was selected as the Red Cross Canadian Youth Delegate to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Cancun, Mexico. She has also served as Board Member, and External Chair of Sustainable SFU. During her tenure as a Board Member, she carried out a successful campaign to establish over $100,000 of annual funding through a sustainable fee now included in all undergraduate tuition. Long-term her sights are set on public policy work. For relaxation Sarah enjoys day-hiking, multi-day wilderness backpacking, running, biking, and Cuban Salsa.
