Other Information: Eleanor has taken three majors in her degree at UNSW - Biology, Politics & International Relations, and History; she is currently completing her Honours in Biology. This year she was awarded the Alton & Neryda Fancourt Chapple Biological Science Award and the Faculty of Science Summer Vacation Research Scholarship - both for academic excellence and independent research. Eleanor devotes much of her spare time to umpiring hockey at local, state and national level; was named NSW Junior Female Umpire of the Year in 2010 and mentors aspiring umpires and players. Eleanor has also won numerous Best and Fairest awards in hockey, and Club Bowler of the Year and Best Batting Average for the Universities Women’s Cricket Club. Eleanor is passionate about research and envisages a long-term career in academia.
