Other information: Olivia completed her Bachelor of Social Sciences this summer and is currently volunteering full time for OMF International. Alongside her studies at HKU, Olivia served as Chairperson of the Hong Kong Model United Nations Conference 2011; a keen debater, she was named Champion and Best Oralist of the Basic Law Mooting (inter-varsity) Competition in 2009; and as Internal Vice Chairperson of the Amnesty International chapter at Li Po Chun, sought to raise Hong Kong students’ awareness of human rights violations in Darfur and Myanmar. Olivia has volunteered in the service of children in China and Thailand; speaks English, Cantonese and Putonghua fluently and is a beginner in French and Thai. She has interned for the Asian Migrant Centre, the Mekong Migration Network and for legal Chambers in Hong Kong. Olivia looks forward to pursuing research in the field of comparative politics and to a long-term career in academia.
