Megan graduated in October from the University of California, Irvine, with a B.A. in history and a minor in philosophy. A junior member of Phi Beta Kappa, she was also president of the student government and goalie for the women’s varsity water polo team. Since graduation, she has attended Cambridge University where she has studied the ethical constructs of war and peacemaking. Her senior thesis looked at the ways in which weapons technology desensitizes U.S. solders to loss of life, and she is especially interested in just war theory and war crimes law. She is the University of California, Irvine’s first Rhodes Scholar.
