Biography
James graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics. At university, he served as the President of the Economics Student Society of Australia, focusing on inspiring passionate and informed policy debate. He has volunteered at Save the Children Australia, as a tutor to migrant and refugee children, and in a non-profit consultancy. James has represented his university at several international debating and business case competitions. He maintains a strong interest in international affairs, specifically in the Asian region, and has enjoyed studying Chinese, particularly at Fudan University in Shanghai. Having worked across private-sector consulting, government and non-profit organisations, James is passionate about many issues in public policy and social justice. He enjoys travel, playing the violin and running.
