Ngoni Mugwisi

Biography

Ngoni is a final year Electrical Engineering student at Arizona State University on a MasterCard Foundation Scholarship. Enrolled in ASU's Barrett Honors College, Ngoni is an elected member of two engineering honor societies: Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu. He is interested in energy sustainability and has researched alternative energy sources as a FURI fellow. A three-time CGI U commitment maker and Resolution Fellow, Ngoni founded Solar Water Solutions, an initiative extracting ground water for marginalized communities using solar energy. He actively leads on the Region 6 Board of the National Society of Black Engineers; as well as Africa Rises, Eta Kappa Nu, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. At Oxford, Ngoni intends to focus on energy systems.
