Meghan Shea

Biography

Meghan M. Shea, West Chester, is a senior at Stanford University, where she is majoring in Environmental Systems Engineering. She is interested in biological oceanography, with a focus on environmental DNA. Meghan has conducted oceanographic research throughout the Pacific Ocean, analyzed carbonate chemistry data from a shellfish hatchery near Seattle with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and reported on climate change resiliency in small-island developing states. Meghan also plays in Stanford's steel pan drumming group, serves as kitchen manager in a 50-person cooperative household, and plans a yearly memorial lecture with Students for a Sustainable Stanford.
